Here I am to worship. If it’s been a while since you’ve been to the gym, whisper it to the Lord as you open that door. heavenlypursuits: timing is everything →
heavenlypursuits: I guess you could say that when the holidays roll around, being single is a lot harder to deal with. I mean everyone wants someone, and no one wants to be alone…but within the last few days, God has been teaching me about how His timing works… and I find it incredible. I am sure most people have…

When you’re holding onto a relationship, it’s usually more about attachment than love. Love wants for the other person’s happiness. Fear wants to hold onto whatever appears to make you happy so you don’t have to feel the alternative. be happy! im no longer afraid (:

Life’s challenges are not supposed to paralyze you; they’re supposed to help you discover who you are. - Bernice Johnson Reagon, singer and composer When facing adversity and difficulty, some people quit and walk away. Some people are paralyzed and can’t go forward or back being perpetually bombarded by the challenges. Champions find away to not only survive the adversity, but to...

I really think I am a magnet cuz i somehow am able to attract and begin to trust people so much I open up and share my secrets and then eventually the poles are switched and they begin to repel away to the point the conversation are few, the hellos are less and the messages shorten to the point they just stop. this is why opening up is so hard for me.. and yet i do it and consistently i believe i...

It is far better to do a few things well than undertake many good works and leave them half-done. - St. Francis de Sales It is not how you start, but how you finish. Be known as someone who gets things done. Be known as someone who others can count on when they are struggling to finish. Be a finisher. Be a difference maker.

Faith convinces me to expect the best possible outcome, and wisdom tells me to be prepared should a problem arise. No, I don’t believe having a spare tire or insurance is a lack of faith. I believe it is wise to be prepared should an extra resource be needed. Faith does not cause you to ignore the possibility of challenges in your future. Faith unites with hope and convinces you that better is...

The character of leadership is built one moment, one truth, one action at a time. It isn’t about the big public displays, but the private character that inevitably shines through in those public moments. It’s about thinking of others as more important than ourselves, faithfulness in our relationship with God and those closest to us, integrity, kindness, and honor. What small things do...

Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding. - King Solomon How do we get wisdom? Wisdom comes from knowledge and experience. To know is not enough. You must apply that knowledge through experience. As you gain experience, you will make mistakes, poor decisions and cause blunders. The knowledge learned from your good and bad experiences train and...

To the degree we’re not living our dreams, our comfort zone has more control of us than we have over ourselves. - Peter McWilliams  One of the hardest things to do in the winter months is get out of bed. We are all warm and cozy, snuggled in our comfort zone making it difficult to get moving. The same is true in life. We get all comfy and nice that we do not want to take risks to achieve...

First step
well i just got a confirmation e-mail about interviewing as a campus security guard. I am so excited because this is the first step at my first job/income. Its weird the first thing i wanted to do was text someone, share it with another person, and share this excitement with another. I think I need to start getting used to this being single thing. At least now I’ll have school, a job, and...
